Well after all the wondering and worrying, I open the wrapper and tried to install my copy of MW2. It worked fine, and as I pre-ordered it for £24.99, I've got it for £15 less than Steam are selling it for. Glad to say it did work fine, activated, installed, all with no problem, and I will be using this lot again. Sorry that I doubted, but you did invite it by not being 100% clear in your warning/acknowledgement.
I would just like to see in the heat of the flak that this site has been getting, if people are rational and go in line with the procedures detailed you will get a lot more joy (and less stress).
I received my copy of Modern Warfare via Royal Mail on Tuesday, unknown to me my wife had also purchased me a copy. I spoke to a CS rep on Live Chat and said that I would like to return my copy for a full refund and was sent a link to a Freepost label for return and obtained an RMA number. I posted the fully shrinkwrapped (important) copy back to Coolshop returns with the original invoice and the RMA no written on the outside of the Jiffy bag on Wednesday, obtaining a Certificate of Posting from the Post Office.
I have today received an email from the returns department stating that my credit card will be credited in the next 7 days.
Like everyone else I had reservations regarding the returns procedure, having never used the site before, however I can say that I am satisfied with the outcome in my own case. I will not have a problem ordering through Coolshop again.
I've received my copy, and have not yet opened it. You say "We guarantee all games to work in any European country" does that mean that if I open up my copy, and I can't register it with Steam, that I will still get my money back. The single biggest reason for me buying this game, is the online multiplayer. If that does not function fully, I would consider that breach of contract. Watchdog, etc. will then be involved.

Guys, ive just checked my tracking number using my postcode, and it states it due for delivery tommorow as stated below put your own postcode in the customer reference as : pe00 2gw (eg).
I ordered Modern warfare at approx 11.30 am yesterday and paid for the express delivery as you claimed i would get it next working day and you would dispatch the same day so long as i ordered before 14.30. When can i expect delivery of my goods and will i get a refund of £1.99 as you have failed to provide me with a service you claimed you would?

jes reading the reviews on here you'd think it was the end of the world... i got my copy Saturday.. have played the campaign finished it and online now playing and no problems at all... the ring of death is an unfortunate downside to microsofts engineering, which is due to the board shorting out and can be fixed under warrenty, as for watchdog grow up ppl your, just pi$$ you havent got your copy yet, just like a lot of ppl that ordered through game/play.co and amazon.. you should of got off your Asses and went and brought it form the shop if you didnt want the risk or even ordered it like i did at the beginning of august....

they are a relativly new and small company which in a business mind would need to break even or make a profit, and the fact that they have sold MW2 for £37 and £39 is amaizing and i know asda are selling it cheap but they are a large established company and can afford to sell MW2 for £5 if they wanted to. I dont know why people are reporting these they have done nothing wrong. And the fact that many copies were delivered 3 days before official launch is great. And i for one can say that coolshop have my business from now on !

I don't have an xbox360 but according to this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360_technical_problems#Cau ses there are many red ring causes (the main reason why I do not have an xbox) but none of the causes are to do with reading foreign disks.
ALL, Cool shops returns inline with DSA 2000 You have the right to Undo your purchase according to your consumer rights, provided that it is returned to us within 14 days after you have received it, in its original packaging. The product must be returned in substantially the same condition and quantity as when you received it. I including cellophane.

I see a **** storm blew up. IMO:
1. Don't care what it says on the box as longs as it plays in the UK.
2. Everyone moaning that it doesn't play properly that's because it is not officially released yet, systems are in place to stop you playing early, mainly on the PC.
3. Coolshops customer service has been friendly to me and the PC price has remained constant!
4. Give them a break, a relatively small company, compared to the big ones like Amazon etc, has probably just had more sales for MW2 then their entire order history, something is bound to go wrong.
WARNING Trading standars will be called tomorrow, I bought 2 copies for my 2 sons and both my consoles had the red ring of death within hours, WATCH YOUR CONSOLES!!

Prob like everyone one else here, this is my first order with coolshop.
How they manage the delivery of MW2 will make or break them i think.
I ordered MW2 on both PS3 and 360 on the 1st Nov. The PS3 was sent on the 4th, and 360 sent 8th. I got my PS3 game today! same as everyone, it got the not sale in UK text, but does seem like a UK version inside. i will test when i get home!
Maybe there is more demand for 360 version, hence the delay in sending? but it was a good test.
i am annoyed they reduced the 360 game so soon by £6!

CoolShop those con artists are saying it's in there Terms and Conditions that you may get a non UK copy, so hard luck is there attitude.
I never saw such a statement, maybe if it was in big writing on the main Modern Warfare 2 page many people here would not of been ripped off.

Under UK law , you are within your consumer rights to return the game, at your own cost, within 14 days for a full refund. But only if you have not removed the celophane wrapper.
It is however a bit poor that they do not state on the page that it is a non UK version as most shops will not trade them in.
Just tried activating my pc Version and Steam are stating ' this version not for sale in your country...purchase cancelled'!!!...anybody from Coolshop care to comment?

PLEASE ANSWER COOLSHOP YOU IGNORNED MY FIRST EMAIL Bought 2 copies of this game for my 2 boys, arrived yesterday ( Saturday ) which was great. After 2 hours of play my oldest boy got the red ring of death. Today ( Sunday ) my youngest Son was playing it and he got the red ring of death on his console. Is this coincidence or is there a fault with these games. Reading the box it states " NOT FOR SALE IN THE UK" Please advise ALSO

i recieved my copy on sat... and went in my xbox straight away.. fantastic game, mp was ok but obviously none of my friends are online with it yet so i will have to wait till tues for that, sfter reading some posts on here i was a little concerned about some people hav got RRoD etc and on the back of the box it does state that it is not for uk sale, has any one else noticed this and have issues with it?

Got my copy Saturday morning! Cheers Coolshop! I know where to get my pre orders from now on, and I only paid £37.98! The game is great, MP unfortunately full of swearing Americans at the moment, so I'm holding out till Tuesday, but other than that, awesome!

i recieved my copy today sorry yesterday top service fast delivery and quite a suprise wen the post came.i later noticed the not for sale in the uk on the back of it which didnt bother me at first because the game worked perfect but then after i'd completed a couple of missions and as i have the ps3 copy relised that i hadn't won any trophies and that it wasnt in my trophie sinc option.i can understand that its not out till tuesday and the game developers may have haulted an update to receive these trophies so people get put off playin it till release day. so i left this comment to see if this is the case as i've put a hault to playin it as i dont fancy replayin the missions if anyone can put my mind at rest u'd be a big help thanx

Its not worth getting it for the PC anyways lads.....no dedicated servers, no PB but stupid VAC anti hack program, and patches are going to go via steam, wich sucks.

WOW coolshop your customer service is terrible! Sorry to say you have a long way to go and much to improve if u want to be major player in this market. After having ordered last month and my order being in a 'processing' state for days it has suddenly informed me, just days before release, that there is an issue with my payment, while at the same time i am reading comments that people have ordered the day before and their staus is showing as 'sent'. Could u explain this? I have opted to cancel my order and it seems you cant even get that right, im being told there is error after error! After reading other comments it seems im not alone in my frustrations but at the same time i have read positive comments although i will say to these people - you havn't got it yet!
Im not happy about paying 44 quid for a game but if it means i get it when i want it i will.

I see a **** storm blew up. IMO:
1. Don't care what it says on the box as longs as it plays in the UK.
2. Everyone moaning that it doesn't play properly that's because it is not officially released yet, systems are in place to stop you playing early, mainly on the PC.
3. Coolshops customer service has been friendly to me and the PC price has remained constant!
4. Give them a break, a relatively small company, compared to the big ones like Amazon etc, has probably just had more sales for MW2 then their entire order history, something is bound to go wrong.

WARNING Trading standars will be called tomorrow, I bought 2 copies for my 2 sons and both my consoles had the red ring of death within hours, WATCH YOUR CONSOLES!!
The ring of death is caused by the console not the disc.

Prob like everyone one else here, this is my first order with coolshop.
How they manage the delivery of MW2 will make or break them i think.
I ordered MW2 on both PS3 and 360 on the 1st Nov. The PS3 was sent on the 4th, and 360 sent 8th. I got my PS3 game today! same as everyone, it got the not sale in UK text, but does seem like a UK version inside. i will test when i get home!
Maybe there is more demand for 360 version, hence the delay in sending? but it was a good test.
i am annoyed they reduced the 360 game so soon by £6!

CoolShop those con artists are saying it's in there Terms and Conditions that you may get a non UK copy, so hard luck is there attitude.
I never saw such a statement, maybe if it was in big writing on the main Modern Warfare 2 page many people here would not of been ripped off.
I opened my plastic packaging as I thought I was getting a UK copy.

Under UK law , you are within your consumer rights to return the game, at your own cost, within 14 days for a full refund. But only if you have not removed the celophane wrapper.
It is however a bit poor that they do not state on the page that it is a non UK version as most shops will not trade them in.

Just tried activating my pc Version and Steam are stating ' this version not for sale in your country...purchase cancelled'!!!...anybody from Coolshop care to comment?

PLEASE ANSWER COOLSHOP YOU IGNORNED MY FIRST EMAIL Bought 2 copies of this game for my 2 boys, arrived yesterday ( Saturday ) which was great. After 2 hours of play my oldest boy got the red ring of death. Today ( Sunday ) my youngest Son was playing it and he got the red ring of death on his console. Is this coincidence or is there a fault with these games. Reading the box it states " NOT FOR SALE IN THE UK" Please advise ALSO
my xbox's are under warrenty so this is not concerning me too much but what does corncern me is once the consoles are replaced and i then use the games again, it may happen again. I am frightened to use them. If id does happen again then it would defonately be the games.

i recieved my copy on sat... and went in my xbox straight away.. fantastic game, mp was ok but obviously none of my friends are online with it yet so i will have to wait till tues for that, sfter reading some posts on here i was a little concerned about some people hav got RRoD etc and on the back of the box it does state that it is not for uk sale, has any one else noticed this and have issues with it?
i must admit tho that it does all seem to b working ok and achievements are being awarded etc etc aint checked my trophies yet but hope they will b ok.
also did hear a rumour that if it was played b4 the release d8 then any kills etc online and solo play would b wiped, can ne one confirm this.
how come that alot including me have got ours 3 days b4 release??

tom millerick: i did receive an update wen i booted up the game which i thought was a bit strange considering its not out yet so that could be why i aint recieved any trophies i've deleted all my memory of the game and if u aint got a psn account could be the reason so i might try turn off my internet and boot up see wat happens.still i agree its gonna be insane on veteran i found it challenging just on regular.

Terry Hackett: I have been attaining trophies without any problems (20% at the min) and they come up fine in my trophy list, unsure if they sync with my psn account as I currently don't have a full Internet connection so my PS3 isn't connected at this time!
(I havnt updated my firmware for about 3 weeks, so unless they have released an update to block like you said then I'm not sure why your not getting them) :(

I'ma bit concerned about this wording on the back of MW2 case saying not for sale in UK. Anyone know any more about this? I was asked to buy it on xbox for a friend for his sons birthday. It has arrived which is good but this wording??
I read a comment where they they were worried they would get a ban from xbox live if they went on line with it as it says this stuff on the case? I don't want any come backs if the game goes wrong or he gets in trouble with xbox live.

i recieved my copy today sorry yesterday top service fast delivery and quite a suprise wen the post came.i later noticed the not for sale in the uk on the back of it which didnt bother me at first because the game worked perfect but then after i'd completed a couple of missions and as i have the ps3 copy relised that i hadn't won any trophies and that it wasnt in my trophie sinc option.i can understand that its not out till tuesday and the game developers may have haulted an update to receive these trophies so people get put off playin it till release day. so i left this comment to see if this is the case as i've put a hault to playin it as i dont fancy replayin the missions if anyone can put my mind at rest u'd be a big help thanx

WOW coolshop your customer service is terrible! Sorry to say you have a long way to go and much to improve if u want to be major player in this market. After having ordered last month and my order being in a 'processing' state for days it has suddenly informed me, just days before release, that there is an issue with my payment, while at the same time i am reading comments that people have ordered the day before and their staus is showing as 'sent'. Could u explain this? I have opted to cancel my order and it seems you cant even get that right, im being told there is error after error! After reading other comments it seems im not alone in my frustrations but at the same time i have read positive comments although i will say to these people - you havn't got it yet!
Im not happy about paying 44 quid for a game but if it means i get it when i want it i will.
Good luck everyone, remember it is a weekend now so dont expect any response from coolshop for any concerns you have!
We charge you, when we send the game -- we have no way of knowing, payment will fail, before we prepare the delivery.

Do none of you above understand the wording 'release date' that means you won't get it until monday 9th at the earliest so why are there so many moaning comments about where is my game, surely you know your not 'special' and would get the game early, I would guess they have more than a dozen to prosess by sunday so some are getting up-dated to 'sent' in the system so all will run smoothly......enjoy your life................lol

Ordered MW2 from here. today the order status changed from processing to 'sent'. But i also received an invoice via e-mail today which said:
"Product not yet released. We are packing your order now but the
order will be shipped just in time for release to you."
So has it been sent yet, or not?
