Father Bear Nils is the new mayor of Sylvanian Village. He is always making new plans for what should happen in Sylvanian Village and makes sure that everyone in the village is happy. He is really busy, but he always says that when he sees his wife Astrid's smile, he is not tired anymore. Nils is also a school inspector at the village school in Sylvanian Village. Astrid is very polite and is good at teaching the children table manners. She is not stiff and tight-lipped while teaching table manners - she has such a lovely warm and hearty smile that even the most nosy children listen to her and end up learning table manners. Astrid runs the village's donut shop. When the children come into her shop, they are greeted with a smile and a freshly baked doughnut. Magnus has a voracious appetite, if he gets a kick out of food while playing with his friends, he forgets everything around him and is completely drawn in by the smell. Nanna is good at listening to her friends and mediating between them when they disagree. Nanna loves sweets and always has some with her.
