This is an HP+ enabled printer. Select HP+ during setup to activate the benefits. HP+ requires an HP account, fixed internet connection and exclusive use of original HP ink cartridges for the lifetime of the printer.
This printer is intended to work only with cartridges that have a new or remanufactured HP chip, and it uses dynamic security measures to block cartridges with a non-HP chip. Regular firmware updates maintain the effectiveness of these measures and block cartridges that previously worked. A recycled HP chip enables the use of recycled, remanufactured and refilled cartridges.
